Q: "If we use SourceDirect to source our new HP server, will the equipment be authorized"?

A: ABSOLUTELY! We are not a channel partner representing HP. We are an HP procurement team representing you. All the equipment we source for you comes from authorized HP channels.

Q: "A recent channel partner told me that SourceDirect may order the server new, but uses “non-authorized” internal parts to lower the cost. Is this true"?

A: Not true. Everything that we offer our clients has a warranty and is covered under the HP support options purchased with the server. In these cases you have to consider the source. A channel partner can only buy from one stocking HP distributor at a fixed discount and does not have the ability to bid out your server or its components. This means you are not getting the lowest possible price. Nor do they have the ability to stage your order should they use multiple suppliers. SourceDirect has the ability to break down your order and go directly to the cheapest "authorized" sources on a component level.
